Amazon India has launched a mobile-only plan in India for Prime Video, called Prime Video Mobile Edition. The plan will hit Netflix’s 199-rupee mobile-Only plan in India. However, Amazon’s Prime Video Mobile Edition, against Netflix, is directly linked to your prepaid plan. Amazon has partnered with Airtel to launch the Prime Video mobile edition, with Prime Video content available with Airtel’s initial recharge plan of Rs 89. All Airtel prepaid customers will get a free trial of Prime Video mobile edition for up to 30 days. You can sign-up for Prime Video Mobile Edition from 2 p.m. January 13.
Like Netflix’s mobile plan, Prime Video Mobile Edition offers standard-definition video quality on a single device. But here you can upgrade to the full Prime Video experience, which includes multiple profiles, simultaneous streaming, TV access and HD/4 content. You can get up to 30 days of Amazon Prime access, for which you need to recharge Rs 131 on your Airtel prepaid number, Amazon Prime is priced at Rs 129 per month if you subscribe directly to it. With a prepaid plan of Rs 349, you get 28 days prime access as well as unlimited calling and 2 GB data.
But if you’re happy with only Prime Video access on your mobile, you can also enjoy it by making other Airtel prepaid recharges. All plans are available on Airtel Thanks app.
Its starting price is Rs 89, in which you get 6 GB data with Prime Video mobile edition with a validity of up to 28 days. On the other hand, the plan of Rs. 131 is validity for 30 days. On a recharge of Rs 299, you get 1.5GB of data per day and a validity of up to 28 days as well as unlimited calling debit. In addition, there is a recharge of Rs 349, with unlimited calling and 2 GB of data per day with a validity of up to 28 days.
